This two-day encounter will look at contemporary art practices and colonialism, anti-colonialism and decolonialism in Latinamerica, focusing on the different forms that power takes in the region. It will discuss thought, narratives, practices and their counter approaches in an attempt to begin to visualise new ways of inhabiting the world.

In these two sessions, we will think together about how to activate a de/anticolonial practice in Latin America, how to dislocate power relations within the art system, and how to propose new power dynamics for an extended art field will be discussed.

En este encuentro se abordarán las prácticas artísticas contemporáneas y el colonialismo, anticolonialismo y decolonialismo en América Latina, centrándose en las diferentes formas que toma el poder en la región. Se discutirá sobre el pensamiento, narrativas y prácticas artísticas, en un intento por comenzar a visualizar nuevas formas de habitar el mundo.
